Trading credit

By Mujahid

Trading credit is money Signal gives you to make predictions with. It shows on your Wallet as Trading credit, with how much you can spend and when it expires.

Where it comes from

  • Signup reward. New accounts can earn it by meeting a signup offer, described below. Each account can receive one signup reward, ever.
  • Promo credit. Signal sometimes awards credit directly, for example in a campaign or as a thank-you. Each award has its own expiry date.

You can hold credit from more than one source at once. Your Wallet shows each one with its own expiry.

Spending it

Credit is used automatically whenever you buy. It pays for the buy before any of your own cash does, oldest expiry first.

If a buy does not fill, or you cancel it, the credit that was held for it goes back to your credit balance, as long as that credit has not expired.

Credit can only be used for predictions. It cannot be withdrawn or sent anywhere.

What you keep

When you sell, or a market you bought with credit pays out, the credit you used comes back to Signal first. Everything above it is yours, as ordinary cash you can withdraw.

For example, you buy with ₦2,000 of credit and later sell for ₦2,600. ₦2,000 returns to Signal and ₦600 lands in your cash balance.

Credit that comes back to Signal this way does not return to your credit balance.

If the prediction loses, the credit used on it is gone, and you owe nothing.

Withdrawals while credit is in play

While credit is held in an open order, or sits in a position that has not sold or settled, Signal holds back the same amount of your balance from withdrawal. The withdraw screen tells you how much is held and why. It frees up when the order closes or the market settles.

Expiry

Each credit has an expiry date, shown on your Wallet. Signal reminds you in the app before it runs out.

When credit expires, whatever you have not spent stops being usable. Positions you already bought with it stay open, and the rule above on what you keep still applies to them.

The current signup offer

  • Who: accounts created on Signal between 29 September 2026 and 1 January 2027.
  • What to do: deposit a total of ₦2,000 or more within 14 days of creating your account. A deposit counts if you start it within the 14 days, even if it completes after.
  • What you get: ₦2,000 of trading credit, which expires 30 days after it is given.

The offer runs while its budget lasts and can end early. Ending it never takes back credit already given.

Fair use

Credit is for one person and one account. Signal may cancel credit that has not been used where it was obtained through more than one account, automated sign-ups, or anything else the Terms of Use prohibit.
