Account & Security

Where are my settings?
On a computer, select your picture at the top right, then Settings. On your phone, tap Profile in the bar at the bottom.
Profile holds your photo, name and username. Account holds two-factor authentication, your password, your email and closing your account.
Do I need a password?
- When you sign in, enter your phone number or email and we send you a 6-digit code. You can also sign in with Google or Busha if you signed up that way.
If you want a password as well, go to Settings, then Account, and select Set password next to Password. Setting it signs you out on your other devices.
How do I reset my password?
- Select Log in, then Use your password instead.
- Select Forgot your password?
- Enter your email and select Send reset link, or select Use your phone number instead to get a code by text.
- Follow the link or enter the code, then choose a new password.
If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. You can also skip the password and sign in with a code.
How do I change my password?
Go to Settings, then Account, and select Change next to Password. Enter your current password and the new one twice. Changing it signs you out on your other devices.
How do I add or change my email address?
- Go to Settings, then Account.
- Select Add or Change next to Email.
- Enter the address and select Send link.
- Open the link we email to that address.
The change takes effect once you open the link, and opening it signs you out on every device.
How do I turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)?
Two-factor authentication asks for a code from an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Authy, each time you sign in.
- Go to Settings, then Account.
- Turn on Two-factor authentication. We may ask you to confirm it's you first.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or type in the key shown under it.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app and select Confirm.
- Save your recovery codes somewhere safe. Each one works once if you lose your authenticator, and they won't be shown again.

I think someone else got into my account. What should I do?
- Change your password, or set one if you don't have one. Either signs you out on your other devices.
- Turn on two-factor authentication.
- Check your Wallet and Portfolio for anything you didn't do.
- Contact us through Support in the account menu, or at support@busha.co.
Never share your sign-in codes, password or recovery codes with anyone, including someone who says they work for Signal.
How do I close my account?
Go to Settings, then Account, and select Close account. You can close your account once it holds nothing:
- No cash in your wallet, and none held for an order or a withdrawal
- No shares in any market
- No open orders
- No deposit or withdrawal still in progress
- Nothing still settling, such as a recent trade, a maker rebate or promotional credit
Closing signs you out everywhere, revokes your API keys and any unused promotional credit, and stops you signing in. We keep the records the law requires. If you want your account reopened later, contact support.
Why has my account been suspended?
We may suspend an account to protect it or other customers, for example over suspected fraud, unauthorised access, a breach of our Terms of Use or a legal requirement. A suspended account sees "This account can't be used" when it tries to sign in.
How do I appeal a suspension?
Select Contact support on the "This account can't be used" screen, or email support@busha.co. Tell us the phone number or email on your account and why you think the suspension should be reviewed, with anything that supports it. We review every request and tell you the outcome.
How do I update my personal information?
Go to Settings, then Profile, and select Edit profile. You can change your photo, your username (3 to 20 letters, numbers or underscores) and your first and last name.
Once your identity is verified, your name can't be changed there, since it has to match your ID. If it needs correcting, contact support.
